well-organized site of up to date news reports on Africa, listed by region and country. This is the descendant of Africa Online.
Africa Online   Taken over the name, but not as good as the original. A news site.
Somalia
Nomad Net   A much slimmer site than 10 years ago, it does have some links to current news about Somalia.
Ethiopia First   is a web site with links
to news reports on Ethiopia.
SIERRA LEONE WEB  Not much here, but in addition to some useful proverbs, it does provide some links to current sources.
Asian Human Rights Reports:
  Current human
rights reports on Asian nations, including South-East Asia. Often has current reports on Sri Lanka.

British Refugee Council Refugee
Council: a very good source of
human rights and news reports on Sri Lanka, as well as on the treatment of
Tamil refugees in Europe. The site
now only includes reports up to 2004.
Tamil Week:The site includes of the latest articles on Sri Lanka and links to editorial
stories with a neutral stand, it covers links to a wide range of news (from
the entire political spectrum) and human rights sources, and is updated
every hour.
Tamil Canadian:Although the site includes links to editorial
stories with a pro-LTTE slant, it covers links to a wide range of news (from
the entire political spectrum) and human rights sources, and is updated
daily.
Tamil Net:
Often the first source to report on conditions affecting Tamils in Sri Lanka. Known as pro-LTTE site.

Human Rights in Sri Lanka
has a number of links, some of which even work, to sources on Sri Lanka.
Peace Brigades International   At first glance dated, frozen in 1998, the Sri Lankan Links on the left side of the page do lead to some current sources, including Sri Lankan newspapers.
Haaretz/ Frequently updated news about Israel, and offers a range of opinion.
The Karachi newspaper Dawn has news from Pakistan in a well-designed web-site.

The European Roma Rights Center is a good place to start your research on issues concerning Roma clients. It has both current and historical information.
